Show Details Shared Note: - By 1830, the family of Elisha Avery II and Nancy Slawson Avery, had emigrated to Pulteney, in Steuben county, New York. The 1830 census indicates that this family lived 2 doors from his brother in law Seth Weed, and about 15 doors from his other brother in law, Thomas Brush. By 1840, both the families of Elisha Avery and Seth Weed had moved again, both arriving at Porter township in Cass county, Michigan.

From the book "Family Maps of Cass County Michigan", by Gregory Boyd, we know that Elisha owned a plot in Township 8S and Range 13W, in section 4 of the town of Porter, by 1848.

Elisha and Nancy Avery are buried in the Rinehart ‎(or Baldwin's Prairie)‎ Cemetery, also in the town of Porter, Cass county, Michigan.
