Shared Note: - For two consecutive years, Jacob Brush enlisted to serve Westchester county in the French and Indian Wars. On April 12, 1761, Jacob enlisted to serve in the regiment of Captain William Guilchrist. Also, on April 9, 1762, he enlisted with Captain John Haight. On both occasions he stated that his age was 18. He was said to be a Blacksmith, born in Standford (Stamford), Connecticut. He is further listed as 5 feet, 6 1/2 inches tall with brown hair, blue eyes and a "fair" complexion. The source of this data is a book by Frederick C. Haacker, written in 1952, entitled "Westchester County New York and the French and Indian Wars. 1755 - 1762."
