George Marshall dies; Once played for Royalty. George Marshall, 62, of South Fairgrounds Road ‎(presently McKinley Parkway)‎, Hamburg, whose avocation of playing the dulcimer once brought him to a performance before British Royalty, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Howard H. Clark Wednesday, after an illness of two years. Mr. Marshall's last performance , made despite his illness, was before a USO gathering in Buffalo in December.

Born and educated in Wales, he came to Buffalo in 1900, and moved to Hamburg two years ago. He was employed as an electrician at the Bethlehem Steel Company. He has appeared on radio station WBEN and on national broadcasts.

Funeral services will be held in his home Saturday at 2 with the Rev. george Manning, pastor of the South Park Methodist Church and the Rev. Oscar Plumb, pastor of the Hamburg Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Armor. Mr Marshall was a Mason, and Odd Fellow and a member of South Park Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucy Hall Marshall; a second daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Cone of Ontario NY; three grandaughters, and two brothers, Thomas Marshall of Buffalo, and William Marshall of Bristol, England.

Marshall - Hall

Miss Lucy Hall of Ballston Spa and George Marshall, of the Geysers, were married last evening at the Baptist parsonage, Ballston, by the Rev. A.C. Baldwin. The bride and groom were attended by his brother, Charles Hall, and wife. Mr. Marshall is a well known electrician, of the Geysers, but the young couple will probably reside in Ballston Spa after their return from a short trip.
